Theological Background for SoulMates

SoulMates is rooted in a biblical understanding of relationships and the soul. Because God is love, He made us in his image through love, for love, and to love. Only God’s perfect love can satisfy the three passions of the soul for acceptance, significance, and security that shape behavior. The story of sin is a story of distrust of God and substitution for a relationship with Him. We will be disappointed when we look to anything or anyone, including marriage, for what God alone can provide. The gospel is God’s ultimate expression of perfect love that penetrates our misdirected desires and heals us through deeper and deeper levels of repentance and faith, freeing us to love transformatively in our marriage. Here is a link to Life Action’s statement of faith.

How it Works

By utilizing a proven assessment tool called the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI), couples will gain insights into their motivations, conflict patterns, strengths, and communication styles. This knowledge will reveal their relationship’s unique blueprint and transform their marriage when combined with practical tools to enhance their relational IQ.

How it’s Different from Other Marriage Conferences

It starts with a world-class assessment that takes couples on a journey of discovery and equips them with proven strategies to increase their relationship IQ and the effectiveness of their marriage. As an experiential course, they’ll learn by doing and gain an enhanced understanding of how relationships work through personalized, practical, and fun exercises. They’ll leave with a customized action plan, ongoing access to personalized results, and additional relationship tools with a free SoulMates app.

Participants will NOT be asked to share personal information

Rest assured, SoulMates prioritizes the comfort and privacy of attendees. Our interactive and experiential approach fosters growth without requiring public disclosure of personal details or participation in awkward or embarrassing situations, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all participants.
