John graduated from Millersville University with a bachelor’s degree in Art and Graphic design in 2000. With his wife Laura and their three kids, the Cheeks began attending Oak Hill Fellowship in 2009, where he has served in various ministries. In spite of his weakness, God has called him to serve as one of the newest elders at Oak Hill. His hope and prayer is that he will serve humbly as a faithful under-shepherd, not because of his abilities, but because God chooses to use earthen vessels to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. (2 Cor. 4:7). In his free time, John has freelance designed for non-profit ministries and also enjoys hiking, camping, spending time with his family, playing music and rooting for the Marauders, Sixers, and the Eagles.
While Ben is the Lead Pastor at Oak Hill, he also serves as one of the elders. He is a "leader among equals," working together with the whole elder team to guide and shape the mission and direction of the church. Ben earned a bachelor's degree from Lancaster Bible College in December 2007 where he met his wife Katy. Ben and Katy currently live in Quarryville with their three sons. Ben enjoys teaching and learning, playing and writing music (especially with the guitar), hiking, playing disc golf, and drinking a good cup of coffee.

After graduating from Lancaster Bible college in 2019, Kayla seeks to further her craft as a designer in other freelance work. Laura and her husband, John, found Oak Hill’s love for God’s truth and desire to worship Him in a bigger way, being called to GO, TEACH, BAPTIZE, and DISCIPLE is why they stayed and came to love Oak Hill. They love that Oak Hill is a family of families. Laura has said, "They aren’t our biological family but they are family in every way."
Director of Worship
David majored in Biblical Studies at Liberty University's School of Divinity, with a minor in Biblical Languages. During his college summers, he interned at Hickory Bible Church in Hickory, North Carolina, and subsequently moved there to serve as Director of Student Ministries. He and Heidi met there and grew as friends through the church's young adult gatherings, weekly small groups, and countless service opportunities in the church.
God knit their hearts together in marriage in August of 2019, and their united goal in life is to glorify Him by serving, building up, and strengthening the Church and the Christian family. David and Heidi both love cooking, teaching, singing loudly, playing music, and being nerdy about words.
