Strengthening the One-Anothers and Growing Together

In our most recent time together as GC leaders, we simply did a GC Health Checkup. For each part of our purpose statement for our GC’s (relational discipleship and care), we listed progress we’re celebrating, challenges we’re facing, and new ideas we’re trying.

Each GC leader couple celebrated things like:

New friendships being formed

Shy GC members finally speaking up and getting involved

Personal care needs getting met like meals and childcare and transportation

GC members doing evangelism together

Increased openness and care shown in mutual ministry

Older members discipling younger members 1-on-1

Constant and encouraging prayer request text threads

GC members caring for their leaders well

Believers growing in maturity

We each shared challenges too, but we walked away encouraged to carry on with this good work of doing the one-anothers of scripture together.

Pray for your GC leaders—that they would be refreshed in their zeal to make disciples, and that your GC would grow in its mutual participation. Pray also for your times together outsides of the night of sermon discussion—that gospel friendship would continue to be built, and that you would help each other seek Jesus first in all of life.
