2023 PRAYER SUMMIT

March 2, 3, 4

Facilitator: Paul Meldrum from The 6:4 Fellowship
Weekend Summit: Thursday, March 2, 6:30 PM - Saturday, March 4, 11:30 AM
Church Wide Prayer Service: Sunday, March 5 | 9:00 AM

DETAILS

Too often the busyness of this world crowds out space for faithful communion with God. However, as one wise man once said, “We are too busy not to pray.” As we worship God with greater depth and detail, clarity and conviction, dependence, and devotion, it draws us into the deep waters of relationship with him. It teaches us more about him so that our faith will grow, we will live with greater courage, and we will depend on him more fully as he leads us into all that he has for us as his children.

This “Prayer Summit” is an extended time for focused corporate prayer, worship, communion, and meditating on the scriptures with other believers from Oak Hill. We will respond to God’s word in adoration, alignment, asking, and acknowledging our need for him, but there will not be a rigid structure or agenda.

Paul Meldrum, a personal friend of Pastor Ben and a regional director with the ministry Strategic Renewal International, will be here to help lead our time. He has been in the pastoral ministry since 2006 and is, currently, an elder and leader of Prayer and Mission’s at Flagstaff Bible Church. He also serves as pastoral oversight/input for the Flagstaff Christian School Board and leads a coaches Bible study at Northern Arizona University. He and his wife Ronna have been married since 1975 and have 3 married children, who are serving the Lord in various capacities. Paul has been involved with The 6:4 Fellowship since 2015, and currently serves as Regional Director for the Mountain West Region, as well as a Renewal Coach for The 6:3 Discipleship. Paul finds great joy in serving Christ with his amazing wife, and encouraging pastors to develop a culture of prayer in their lives and in their churches.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Bible, journal, pen, casual clothing, comfortable shoes, an expectant heart, and a good attitude!

OTHER THOUGHTS:

We are not providing childcare, so we encourage you to find your own for the week as needed.

Sleeping will be in your own home and bed for the night, which is why we chose to not call this a “retreat.” For all other purposes, it will function like a retreat.

Paul Meldrum has participated in and led prayer retreats like this and speaks about how special and powerful they are, not because of anything special we do, but because of how the Lord meets those who seek him.

We believe that time with the Lord and with his church is worth the effort to get there.
