Arrival: Advent Series
ARRIVAL. This season is marked by arrivals. Amazon packages. Holiday visitors. Newborn babies. We wait for arrivals. We long for arrivals. We expect arrivals will bring us hope, peace, joy, love. But many times the arrival isn’t all that we thought it would be. Maybe it comes, but then it goes. Maybe it comes but it doesn’t satisfy. And so you wait for something new to arrive. This Advent season, we invite you to wait for an arrival that will not disappoint. The arrival of Jesus Christ.

CHRISTMAS EVE 7 PM:
Dec. 24 -Emmanuel, He’s Here!
Many of you were working through the "Discover the Story" reading plan which wraps up this week! We wanted to resource with you with a way to get into God's word this advent before our next reading plan begins January 5.
John Piper wrote, “Advent is for adoring Jesus. The Christmas season is one of the busiest times of the year. The greatest of history’s many wonders, something too stupendous to celebrate just on one day. Advent is a way of lengthening and intensifying the joy of Christmas.”

This Advent season, we invite you to wait for an arrival that will not disappoint: the arrival of Jesus Christ. As we glean from The Arrival Series this Christmas season these 25 brief devotional readings from John Piper will carry us through Christmas Day and beyond as a "reflection and preparation for that special day when we mark Immanuel’s coming — the arrival of our eternal God in our own frail humanity."

Our hope is that God would use these readings to deepen your understanding of who Jesus is, sweeten your adoration of Him and help you keep him at the center of your Christmas season.
