As men called to lead in our homes, church or workplace, we might all have differing opinions on what tasks or characteristics are essential to complete this task. But the Bible shows us that one thing is more important than all the rest.

Using Alexander Strauch's book Love or Die, we will first examine Christ's alarming rebuke to the church in Ephesus in Revelation 2:4, "But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first." Strauch says, "...an individual or a church can teach sound doctrine, be faithful to the gospel, be morally upright, and work hard, yet be lacking love and therefore, be displeasing to Christ." Then we will look at practical ways to cultivate love in the local church.
